Dr Katherine Anagnostou is currently a Consultant at St Thomas’ Hospital in London. Over the last 8 years she has worked exclusively in paediatric allergy, initially undertaking research in peanut allergy and subsequently as a clinician. Katherine has worked with Dr Fox and the Allergy London team for the last 4 years. She has experience in all aspects of allergic disorders and their management including eczema, food allergy, rhinitis and asthma and has developed a special interest in food allergies and oral immunotherapy.
Katherine graduated from Aristotle University Medical School with first class honours in 2000. She has trained in paediatrics in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge and in Great Ormond Street and the Royal Brompton Hospital, in London.
Katherine was awarded her PhD in Allergy from Cambridge University, focusing on a trial of peanut oral immunotherapy in children, which attracted a lot of media interest all over the world. Her main research findings were published in the medical journal, The Lancet. She has a special interest in mechanisms underlying food immunotherapy and has presented her work in both national and international meetings. Katherine regularly teaches in Allergy Academy and MSc Allergy courses.Back to team page
